ROXAS
General Information
Nickname(s) ≫ Sorry, bud. Nothing to see here.
Age≫ 15
Gender ≫ Male.
Occupation ≫ Jobs are for suckers.
Member Group ≫ Kingdom Hearts
Physical Appearance
Roxas is a lithe teen with fluffy, feather-like hair that spills around his face like golden ink. Much like his other, Sora, his shoulders are just starting to fill out. His face is round and his eyes are both a deep, seaborn blue. Unlike Ventus, his physical twin, Roxas's countenance is usually closer to a broody neutral than anything else. Though he looks a lot happier than he used to be, it's easy to see the dark that lurks between his stars. Originally clad in a getup similar to Ventus's, Roxas now wears a new set of duds that he conjured magically. It's really sort of convenient, since he'll never grow out of them.
Personality
Overview
Roxas is quiet, respectful, and a relatively normal teenager... except for the fact that he's actually the wielder of a legendary weapon and a technical non-person. Once vengeful and wrathful to the extreme, Roxas is a somewhat stoic teenager with an abundance of self-confidence. Sometimes cocky and a little quick to anger, Roxas is reckless and brave, fully aware that he usually has the skill to back his courage. Because of this, however, he's never been the type to look before leaping.
Still, Roxas is very much a good kid. He's always going to help his friends when they need him and he's not going to leave somebody behind, whether he likes them or not. Like his Somebody, Sora, Roxas very much has a sense of justice and will act within the confines of his own moral code. Unlike Sora, Roxas resents the thought of doing so — he's never wanted the burden the Keyblade has placed on his shoulders and most of the time he'd prefer to ignore it... but his conscience and the bonds he's forged with his friends would never allow him to.
If Sora is the calming ocean breeze, Roxas is the still that lingers before a storm. More emotive than most Nobodies, Roxas is very much like his counterpart in the regard that he's willing to lay back and experience the fun parts of life. Despite this, vestiges of his time in the Organization haunt him constantly, leaving him prone to aggressive outbursts and bouts of fierce silence. When on his own, Roxas is very much the quiet type; he doesn't go out of his way to seek out new friends, preferring the ones he already has. The people he keeps around bring out the light in him in ways that he doesn't understand.
At his core, Roxas is fiercely independent and will do anything to stay that way. He disrespects authority and frequently ignores the mandates of anyone who thinks themselves "above him," whether they're aware of their condescension or not. He has a much higher capacity for hatred than Sora, and is much slower to forgive... but he still gets flashes of the other boy's purity every now and again.

History
Roxas was born from self sacrifice, ignorant to his role in the events that would follow his birth. He awoke in front of Twilight Town's old mansion and is greeted by Xemnas, a being of purpose and grandeur. The tall, dark man offered Roxas equal purpose and gave him his name while simultaneously deceiving him, aware that the boy would be little more than a pawn in his plans. Xemnas inducts the boy into Organization XIII, a conglomeration of Nobodies that sought to fill Kingdom Hearts, something they needed the power of the Keyblade for.. and thus, something they needed Roxas for. Though Roxas is at first somewhat reclusive, he quickly befriends Axel, one of the Organization's members, and obtains the basic knowledge he will need from the rest of the Organization's members. In particular, Roxas trained with Lexaeus and Marluxia, who would soon be sent off to Castle Oblivion in order to pursue other, devious machinations. Not long after their departure, Axel followed, sent in order to monitor their behavior and make sure that they weren't betraying the goals of their leader.
While events unfolded in Castle Oblivion, Roxas went about his duties, the Organization welcomes another new member: Xion. A wielder of the Keyblade, she and Roxas become fast friends, and embark on missions together. Not long after her arrival, however, glimpses and ghosts born of his old life — of his other, Sora — begin creeping into his memory through his dreams. Through these dreams and visions, Roxas loses faith in the Organization that so quickly took him in and grows suspicious of their motives. Xion, at the same time, experiences her own doubts, and launches her own journey of self discovery in an attempt to figure out her true purpose. Roxas and Axel track her down not long after and convince her to return to the Organization... but she departs again not long after, her determination to find answers renewed.
In her absence, Roxas learns the truth of Xion's identity and, furious with Axel for hiding the truth from him, flees the Organization when Axel refuses to tell him of his own identity. Saix tries to stop him by force, but Roxas overcomes the Lunar Berserker and continues his on his way. Shortly before making his exit from the World That Never Was, Axel appears to warn Roxas away from leaving the Organization, insistent that they will destroy him and that he doesn't want to lose his friend. Spiteful, Roxas reminds Axel that no one would miss him if he left and takes his leave.
He encounters Xion again in Twilight Town, where his sole remaining friend relays the truth to him: the two of them cannot coexist, due entirely to the fact that they are both fragments of Sora's being. Putting on a mask of wrath and fury, Xion lies, and insists that she desires to absorb Roxas and take his being into her. In reality, she wanted to take fate into her own hands, and fall to Roxas before she could absorb him and fulfill the role that the Organization made for her. Roxas cut her strings and freed her of their puppeteering, only learning the truth as she faded away, tearfully, in his arms. Her memories began to fade, slowly, next, but her power filtered into Roxas, imbuing him with more strength than ever before.
Wrathful and empowered, Roxas returned to the World That Never Was in order to confront the Organization and run the gauntlet that would avenge his friend's quickly fading memory by freeing Kingdom Hearts with his newfound ability to dual wield keyblades.
Despite an impressive march through the city below the castle, he is eventually stopped and confronted by a flood of Heartless that threaten to overtake him. Despite his new power, the sheer number of enemies nearly overtakes him, and he only succeeds when a hooded figure arrives to take up his second keyblade. The rain continues to fall around them as the two men scatter the dark at their feet and reveal their motives to each other; the hooded figure turns out to be Riku, and as expected, he proves to be staunchly against Roxas's reckless plan.
Despite that, Roxas refuses to budge, and the two come to vicious blows.
Roxas edges out a convincing win and has Riku downed, but at the last moment, his foe overtakes him with a swift burst of darkness that renders him powerless. With Roxas subdued, Riku takes the boy back to DiZ, where the two place him under lock and key in the old mansion he was born in. In order to imprison him, DiZ alters Roxas's memory and puts him inside of a virtual version of Twilight Town, the Old Mansion's homeworld and Roxas's favorite place to be.
Under the impression that he was just a normal schoolboy, Roxas lives out the rest of the Summer with his three friends: Hayner, Pence, and Olette. Unfortunately, inconsistencies and errors begin cropping up within the simulated version of Twilight Town, leading Roxas away from the life he believes to be his. Axel, acting independently of the Organization, enters the simulation in an attempt to bring him back, but ultimately fails to rouse the boy's memory.
Namine’s interference changes that. Taking a more subtle approach than the flamboyant, overly passionate Axel, she sheds light on the situation and answers the boy's questions. Over the course of a few days, she reveals bits and pieces of the truth to him, and encourages him to come find her in the Old Mansion for more answers. During their meeting, DiZ arrives to take her away, and Roxas begins a very familiar walk: one of vengeance. Dominated by fury, he goes to the basement and destroys the computer downstairs, intent on reclaiming his place in the real world and... and figuring out what to do next. He advances through the basement room by room until Axel confronts him once again, his plea from before now reduced to an ultimatum.
The two do battle and Roxas emerges victorious, but unhappy.
Forlorn, he continues his journey in the virtual basement until he comes to its end. Standing before a large, white pod, he acknowledges that his time in Twilight Town is over... and merges partially with Sora.
Throughout the other boy's journey, Roxas remains silent, allowing Sora to gather power and test himself. Once they reach the World That Never Was, after Axel's sacrifice, Roxas emerges and challenges Sora to a duel in order to gauge if he could succeed where his other had failed. Taking place at the original Keybearer's station of awakening, the battle is vicious and close, and as against Riku... Roxas temporarily emerges victorious, disarming Sora and knocking his Keyblade across the platform. Before he can land the finishing blow, however, Sora resummons his weapon and defeats him, revealing to him the strength of Sora's character and determination.
Content with Sora's strength and ability, Roxas allows himself to fully merge with Sora, and earns one more reunion with Naminé.
For a little while, that was the end; Roxas existed within Sora, dormant... until one day, he resurfaced, distinctly separated from Sora's being. Lost on a world he only recognized in dreamscapes to be Destiny Island, he wandered until he found Naminé, and they began their own journey across the stars. It wasn't long before the two found Ventus, and awakened his heart. Now, united as a trio, the three forge their own path, aware of the ties that bind them to their bedfellows.

Wisps of auburn drifted on the breeze, flecks of fire from the burning city below. Heartless ran through the ruins of what might've been a once magnificent city, its buildings crafted carefully from gold and meticulously cleaned iron. Now, it was all black, overtaken by black, reduced to black by the invading horde of monsters that were so intent on cleansing all light from the world's surface. Roxas couldn't say he was well acquainted with the world of El Dorado, but that didn't mean he didn't feel a little pluck of pity for its occupants. There were soldiers putting up a good fight throughout the city, of course, but without a weapon like his... they really didn't stand much of a chance. Unfortunately, he'd already been fighting for a few hours, and for as fast and strong as he was, he wasn't sure he could turn the tide on his own anymore.
Roxas stood, rising to full height atop a hill just south of the city's edge. It would've been easy to give up and run away, to tuck tail and head through a dark corridor to somewhere nicer. He could easily picture himself doing it, leaving the world to its fate.
Ven wouldn't, though. Neither would Sora, or Riku. The thought wouldn't have even crossed Naminé's mind. She probably wouldn't consider the possibility that he would've run either — but then again, hadn't she always known him better than he knew himself? Grumbling a little, Roxas extended his left hand and summoned the Kingdom Key to his grip in a flash of light. Sparks ran down the length of his arm and kissed the green at his feet, burning out like little light bulbs against the sunset dyed grass. The weapon was heavy in his hand, its weight a familiar burden. The keychain attached to its guard jingled slightly as he gave it a few test swings, making sure he still had the energy to swing the hefty weapon with some finesse.
If he really wanted to save El Dorado, he was going to need to put some real oomph into it. Running in blind would just get him killed, and waiting too long would make the whole thing sort of moot. The best way to proceed was to slow things down, and to do that, he was going to need to gather up some of the guards still fighting throughout the city.
Leaping from the top of the hill, Roxas went gliding down its side toward the city wall below. There were holes in it, carved out by powerful spurts of magic and darkness; he quickly shot through one into the city's inner limits, emerging in the middle of an already burned out street. A few stray shadows raced around the corner to escape him, their sights set on something else. Still covered in burns and scrapes from the battle he'd been raging in the hours before, the blonde keybearer advanced stubbornly down the street in hot pursuit, ready to continue waging war for a world he really wished he'd never heard of.
