Out of all of the worlds Ventus had visited since his awakening, Twilight Town was the most like home. Even on the days he wasn't with Roxas or Naminé, he still found himself frequently returning to the world. Some days, he would go for a walk. Others, he'd watch the sunset from the top of the clocktower. One day, Ventus left for Twilight Town with that very thing in mind. He had no idea what he would find waiting for him.
At first, nothing seemed different. After a minute of walking, though, the surrounding silence became all too apparent. Twilight Town was never a loud world to begin with, but this was too quiet. Ven's gaze began to drift from building to building, scanning for anyone at all. Instead, he found no one. No person. No Heartless. No Nobody. Ventus was alone.
The blond raised his guard, though he didn't draw his Keyblade yet. Still, he continued on his way to the clocktower. The walk wouldn't be a bad thing; Ventus might even find someone on the way. If not, the view provided by the clocktower might help him spot someone, even if that someone isn't friendly.
It didn't take long for Ventus to pick up the pace. His eyes darted from one spot to another, trying to find anyone at all. His footsteps echoed down the empty streets, but nothing seemed to notice at all. "Where is everyone?"
