- No Godmodding/Controlling Fight/Overpowering Others
- Respect for other members and admins
- Abide by rules of combat and use of abilities
- Ask for permission from partner before deciding to do things regarding partner's character
- No bullying others or harrassing others
These Rules are pretty standard, but they need to be said regardless. We will not tolerate violations. *waves the ban hammer around*
Character Creation Rules:
0. Character applications The applications for character creation can be found in the "Party" board. Please post your character's application using the template found there in the party board. Once your character is accepted by the staff, it will be moved to the accepted characters board appropriate for your character's alignment. your character must be accepted before posting in character.
1. One Character Per Account! The Advancement system only works if each account is unique to the character being played. You can create multiple accounts, one for each character you wish to play.
2. Multiple Character Wait Clause! Each player is allowed to begin with one character. If you'd like to make a second character, All your current characters must be at least level 5 before you can create their account. The Maximum amount of Characters a player can have is 5. It is possible to lay claim to a character before taking them, but your claim will only last two weeks before the character is opened back up to general use, after which point you must wait thirty days before laying claim to that character again. We reserve the right to remove this feature if it becomes an issue.
2.2. Canon vs. OC! Up to 3 of your characters can be canon characters, and you can app these characters in any order, provided all your existing characters are at least level 5.
3. Verse Rules! CW is a first and foremost a Kingdom Hearts RP site. This means that while it is more than okay to pull in characters from Final Fantasy games and Disney movies that have not yet been featured in the KH storyline, those characters have new stories. It is already apparent from the games that while the progression of their lives has been similar, characters like Cloud, Leon, Yuffie, etc... grew up on Radiant Garden and call it home. Keep this in mind when applying for Final Fantasy characters. There are no Final Fantasy worlds that mimic the exact nature of the game they came from. When apping a character like Zidane Tribal or Bartz Clausier, who are not featured in KH yet, feel free to create an original world based on some aspect of their Final Fantasy story, or place them on an original world, if you wish. Take it as an opportunity to re-create your favorite FF characters in a KH light, and better mesh into the Kingdom Hearts universe.
4. Keyblade Wielders! The only Characters who may start out with Keyblades are Characters who possess them in Canon. Sora, Riku, Mickey, etc... And the Dandelions (OCs from KHUx). Creating a Dandelion has, it's own rules, which we will get to in a different section. Otherwise, Keyblade wielders can be granted the Keyblade under only certain circumstances.
♥ Be passed the power from another Keyblade Wielder. Not all Keyblade Wielders know how to do this, but there is a specific, albeit short, incantation.
♥ Under very specific instances, the Keyblade can pass through vaguely defined heart-touching nonsense. This will be observed on a case-by-case basis.
♥ Be a Dandelion - Click for more info.
5. Activity Clause! Characters on Chained Worlds will be expected to make at least 3 posts each month with characters under their belt. We will check this activity manually behind the scenes, so no need for a stressful activity check thread to reply to. An Activity Report will be posted at the beginning of each month with a list of characters who are on our strike list. Characters on the strike list who fail to meet their post requirements for the second consecutive month will be deleted and will be available for re-application after a 1-month wait period.
5.2 Save Data! On CW, loss of activity does not necessarily mean losing all the progress you've made on the site. When a character on the strike list fails to comply, and their account is deleted, their Save Data is stored in the staff room for Two Months Automatically. We call this an Auto Save. It is also possible, however, in the event that you find yourself uninspired or needing to leave the site for personal reasons, to have us save your "Save Data" for a longer period of time. These Save Files are saved for an established amount of time, to a maximum of one year, after which time they are deleted. Having Save Files on file does not constitute a reservation on the character. Another player may come along and claim the character in your absence, but if you return while your Save File is still in our files, and the character in question has not been claimed by another, you may "Load" your save data and regain all the progress you had when you left, and your EXP will be set to the minimum for whatever level your character was when you left.
6. Posting Length Clause! We do not have a minimum post count here on CW. That said, it is important to make informed posts that both respond adequately to the previous post(s), and provide adequate material to formulate a response from. In short, make sure your posts push the story forward. Beyond that point, we don't care what their length is.
Battle Rules:
1. Three Action Rule! The battle system of CW assumes an action economy of three actions (actions being basic attacks, abilities, using items, etc...) per post. At the end of a battle post, please include a breakdown of which actions your character used for those who are reading your thread to reference. This is both to balance some of the abilities, and to help with proper pacing in battles. Unless otherwise mentioned, enemies are also allowed three actions in a post (or in a round of posts, if multiple characters are in a thread).
2. Statistics! CW features several numeric options for characters to exploit in the way of stats and hit points. This is to serve the story and is completely optional. This is not a videogame, and there is no automation or equation to determine how much damage one character deals to another. Use the stats to give your characters a sense of vitality and urgency, but do not get too caught up in the mitigation of damage point for point. We're here to tell a story, after all, and to have fun!
3. Abilities, Weapons, and Level Up! Abilities can be crafted for use in the Ability Melding thread in the Main Menu. Abilities deal more damage than typical weapon attacks do, or can buff, de-buff, and change the tide of battle. Weapons can be synthesized, upgraded, and enhanced in the Synthesis Shop. Level progression can be seen in the Level Up! Board. As you increase in level (based on EXP from posting), you'll gain the AP you need to upgrade and meld new abilities. The rules on all of these systems are contained in their respective threads, but each of them requires creating a thread specific to your character where you will request for staff to update these changes in your profile. Make sure you wait until you are accepted before posting any of these requests, and be sure to wait until staff have approved and updated your profile before you make use of the adjustments you have made.
1. Basic rule! Explanation of said rule.
