Alternate Forms

Many Characters throughout both Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy have exhibited alternative forms that change or increase their ability for a limited time. Sora's Drive Forms, the Command Style feature of Birth By Sleep, and the Trance ability featured in many Final Fantasy games all fall under this unique type.

These types of abilities are tricky, and rather than attempt to piece them together by combining other types of abilities, we thought it might be best simply to provide a way of creating them specifically.

Base Form includes
• Increases base ATK or MAG
• Duration of 3 posts
• Finishes with a "finishing blow" that is equivalent in power to an Intermediate ability
Cost:90 AP

Add-ons
• Changes weapon damage type: +10 AP (Max 1)

Examples:
• Fire Damage
• Ice Damage
• Lightning Damage

• Changes weapon function: +10 AP (Max 1)

Examples:
• Melee sword shoots magic beams
• Shield becomes spiked or becomes ranged weapon
• any other physical change that alters weapon function

• Changes Movement type: +20 AP (Max 1)

Examples:
• Character gains flight
• Character gains ability to teleport

• Additional Synergy effect: +15 AP (Max 3)

Examples:
• Character speed increases, gets one extra attack per post
• Character defense increases, takes less damage
• Character ATK or MAG (whichever was not selected at base) is increased

• Additional Post Duration: +20 AP (Max 1)

The forms you create can be as grandiose as you put AP into them. They can be upgraded to include as many of these additional attributes as you deign necessary (up until the given maximum for each). Use the following template in your ability thread to request an Alternate Form:
